Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Director of Solutions Marketing to join our team and help drive awareness and adoption of our solutions within industry verticals. You’ll act as the voice of the customer, be a go-to expert on our solutions by targeted industries, buyer personas and use cases and execute GTM activities. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, Software Development, and Marketing to establish positioning and messaging, build product adoption strategies, develop product collateral and thought leadership content, partner on sales enablement activities, and much more.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in product or solutions marketing for enterprise software companies who has done work on industries solutions marketing. You’re a pro at taking complex ideas and translating them into compelling storytelling for diverse audiences. You’re able to become an expert on our buyer personas and clearly articulate the value in a way that focuses on use cases for the specific needs of buyers in different industries. You are able to connect all the dots of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform marketing campaigns, product roadmap, and strategic company initiatives tied to industry GTM planning. You can manage multiple projects, proactively communicate cross-functionally, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute vertical marketing plans for assigned solutions, including product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sales, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Develop compelling value propositions and sales enablement materials to support the sales team.
- Measure and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize ROI and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in solutions marketing.
- Improve solution consistency and recognition by driving clarity around positioning and strategy
- Build bold narratives about the solution’s vision
- Oversee integrated marketing brief development, campaign planning, go-to-market planning, and oversight of execution / implementation
- Provide thought leadership on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform the company's strategic direction
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships across Strategy, Creative, Product Marketing, Demand Gen and Marketing Channel Partners
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
- Software industry knowledge preferred
- Must have at least 8 years’ experience in product and/or solutions marketing for B2B software (experience with industry/solutions marketing strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated project management skills and program management experience
- A strong track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams.
- Consistently leverages data, analytics, insights and metrics to propel strategy and execute compelling GTM for marketing programs that deliver measurable impact
- Track record of operational excellence, with strong project management and organizational skills
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, cultivator of strong cross-functional relationships.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work lifting no more than 10 pounds.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and standing.
- Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate office equipment.
- Vision sufficient to read computer screens, reports, and related department documents.
- Dexterity to operate computer keyboards and other related office equipment.
- Endurance sufficient to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Frequent speech communication and hearing.
