What we are looking for:
The Custom Solutions QA Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our custom solutions for our customers. You will lead a team of QA professionals, develop testing strategies, and drive the implementation of quality standards across our development processes. Your experience with AI and related technologies will be an asset in enhancing our quality assurance methodologies.
Test areas include feature/function, load, performance, and regression testing of solutions in AI, Natural Language Processing, IVR, and SMS communications. The Custom Solutions QA Manager works closely with Developers and Project Managers as a part of our Managed Solutions group and is involved in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software quality assurance analysts.
- Develop and implement QA strategies and processes that align with the overall business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and maintain testing standards and practices that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the design and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software solutions.
- Ensure the identification, documentation, and tracking of defects and issues through resolution.
- Promote and implement automated testing practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure the timely and efficient execution of test plans to meet aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment with several small-medium sized projects in flight
- Leverage knowledge of AI, Natural Language Processing, IVR, and SMS technologies to enhance testing methodologies and tools.
- Conduct regular team meetings to provide updates, share feedback, and promote continuous improvement.
- Analyze and report on key quality metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on QA activities, testing results, and quality metrics.
- Continuously assess and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of software products.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience creating and executing detailed test plans, test procedures, and test cases
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with peers, management and customers regardless of their background, experience, and ability to comprehend complex technical content
- Proficient in oral and written English communication, including the ability to read scripts and or listen to audio and detect incorrect grammar, punctuation and meaning and respond
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of personal accountability
- Experience writing SQL queries and NoSQL databases
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and conceptual skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to provide thoughtful and insightful feedback from user experience, even if product/project meets the written requirement; ability to see and judge the product/project from the user perspective
- Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills for a fast-paced environment with many simultaneous projects in flight
- Proficient with API Automation tools such as PostMan, SoapUI, etc.
- Proficient in Automation tools such as Leap Works, Node Red, Cypress, etc.
- Experience with Load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.
- Experience with Speech Recognition, Text to Speech, Natural Language Processing, Conversational Speech and Generative AI a plus.
- Experience working with a scripting language such as Python, PHP, PERL, Ruby, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a software quality assurance team.
- Experience with AI, LLMs, Natural Language Processing, IVR, SMS, or related technologies is a plus.
- ISTQB Advanced Level certification or equivalent is a plus
